LLC employs LNCs with BSNs, Advanced Practice
degrees and who are LNC certified. Together, we have clinical
backgrounds, which include adult intensive care (ICU), adult
medicine/surgery, medical/surgical pediatrics, Pediatric
Intensive Care (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), pediatric
trauma and hematology/oncology, disabilities and rehabilitation,
home health, outpatient clinical practice, and more, Our
LNCs have also worked as nursing administrators and educators. Education
and experience includes group facilitation and mediation, and expands health
care settings from the community, to community hospitals, to major medical centers,
to home health and rehabilitation settings.
Experience as an Instructor for the Center
for Legal Studies assures our appropriate application of medical
knowledge to the legal arena.In this program, Registered Nurses
and Physician’s Assistants were prepared with fundamental
skills necessary to advise law firms, health care providers,
insurance companies and governmental agencies regarding medically
related issues and to appear in court as expert witnesses. Course
teachings included legal concepts related to the health care
industry, as well as the role a LNC might play in such litigation
areas as medical malpractice, forensics, toxic torts, products
liability, personal injury, wrongful death, criminal law and
workman’s compensation.
